About MIMI SWEET TREATS
Our Story
While baking alongside my mother, who was a skilled baker, I developed a deep love for the art of baking. However, life led me down a different path, and I pursued a career in nursing that spanned almost three decades. Now, after many fulfilling years as a nurse, I find myself drawn back to my first love of baking.
As a proud native of St. Croix in the beautiful Virgin Islands, I am passionate about sharing a taste of my culture through the creation of custom rum cakes. In our island tradition, rum cakes are renowned for being rich, fruit-filled, and delightfully dense. I have carefully adapted these traditional recipes to offer a unique blend that is more familiar to the American palate—lighter, more cake-like, yet still retaining the essence of our island flavors.
I hope that through my custom rum cakes, I can bring a piece of the Caribbean into the homes and hearts of those who enjoy them.
Our Products
At MIMI SWEET TREATS, we offer various baked goods, including rum cakes (both with and without the rum), cinnamon rolls, pound cakes, brownies, brookies, quick bread, and cookies (not decorated). We believe quality ingredients make all the difference. That's why we use only fresh fruits and vegetables in our baked goods. Our products are made fresh to order to ensure that every bite is as delicious as the last.
